9 roller super speed variator kits were born from extensive testing during the 2006 Italian scooter cup championships and this technology has been handed down for road use.Using 9 rollers rather than 6 not only reduces roller wear by 50% but also reduces the overall temperature and gives increases everywhere within the speed range from acceleration to top speed. The half pulley is made from alloy with a high silicon content to maximise roller sliding and is run on a case hardened chromed steel pin which reduces friction offering a smoother acceleration.
The Polini Hi-Speed offers a combination of improved pull you can feel and a higher top speed. Contains well-engineered with 2 sets of variomatic weights (3.5g and 4.0 gram), 3 sliders for the vario plates and an open vario sleeve.
