Buying Maxi Scooter Rollers:
This is the simplest of upgrades. This is a minimal investment and offers a maximum return. The main rule for tuning variators is: the lighter the roller the more rpms are needed to push the rolls outwards through centrifugal motion to set the gear change in motion. Heavier roller weights need lower rpms to start moving. Heavier roller weights will mean slower take off speed, and more top end acceleration. Overall you will have a higher maximum speed.

Lighter roller weights means you will have faster take off speed, but less acceleration and lower achievable speed. For an area with lots of hills you might want more power to go uphill. The right balance is an individual choice since a scooter racer will want heavier weights to achieve a higher overall speed so that they might be faster at full throttle. For daily use a driver might prefer lighter weights for more power to take off faster at a stop light. We recommend you purchase two or three sizes so you can splice which means mixing two or three sizes together or you can adjust if you notice you loose some power.
