The BGM PRO 4-piston caliper increases the effective piston and pad area of the front brake system, allowing motorcycle-level braking performance. With 4x25mm brake pistons, the BGM PRO caliper has 40% more piston area than a conventional two-piston caliper on Vespa PX/LML Star models.
The hydraulic transmission ratio is greatly improved and the braking force (with the same lever force) is increased. Another advantage of the 4 piston technology is the symmetrical load on the pads, which means that they are always fully in contact with the brake disc. A pad change is done quickly and easily by a stud bolt. A big advantage, not only in racing.
BGM PRO `TOURING RADIAL` brake
caliper mount The BGM PRO `Touring Radial` brake caliper mount was developed for optimum braking performance.
A special feature is its uncompromising design for the greatest possible deceleration. For this purpose, the brake caliper was oriented in such a way that the brake pads are applied to the maximum outer diameter of the brake disc. Unlike other adapters, the BGM PRO caliper mount has the largest effective lever and therefore the best deceleration values.
MAXIMUM SAFETY
Improving riding safety was the dominant element in the development phase of the BGM PRO brake caliper mount. Thus, the possibility of lateral centering of the caliper to the brake disc was created. The BGM PRO set can be aligned exactly centrally to the brake disc. This is done with the help of the enclosed disc set. Compared to other suppliers, this ensures that the brake pistons always have sufficient guide length in the brake caliper, even with heavy wear of the pads / disc.
MAXIMUM COMPATIBILITY
The BGM PRO caliper set replaces the original Piaggio components 1:1. BGM uses the usual 82mm hole pattern, so calipers from other manufacturers (e.g. Stage6, RPM or Adelin) can also be used. However, the BGM PRO caliper is particularly narrow and is the only one that can be adjusted exactly in the centre of the brake disc.
MAXIMUM QUALITY
The BGM PRO brake caliper adapter is made of high-strength aluminium which is CNC machined in a specialized company in Italy and finally hard anodized. This means that it can withstand even the toughest environmental conditions and remains permanently solid and visually appealing. The mount is delivered ready to install, with already mounted high quality needle bearings from European suppliers (SKF/INA).

VESPA OR LML?
The brake caliper adapter is available for Vespa or LML. The difference between both types is the different dimensions of the speedometer drive. The selection of the correct adapter is therefore based on the existing/used brake drum (Piaggio or LML).
Examples:
A Vespa PX (year 1985) which has been retrofitted with a Grimeca disc brake kit needs the adapter type PX.
A Vespa PX (1985) that has been retrofitted with an LML fork for disc brakes requires the adapter type LML.
A Vespa PX Disc (year 1998) needs the adapter type Vespa PX.
