Inner rotor ignition Malossi MHR Team II suitable for various Yamaha, MBK, Aprilia, Malaguti, CPI, Italjet, Benelli and Beta vehicles with liquid-cooled 50cc Minarelli engine.

With the MHR Team II internal rotor ignition, multiple mappings can be managed without the need for an additional device. The selected map can also be changed by shifting the OFFSET by a further ± 2° in 0.5° increments.

Thanks to the development of an 8-bit uP STM8 microprocessor with a processing speed of 20 MIPS, the control unit is now even less sensitive to interference and the ignition timing control has been improved.

The CDI control unit has 3 controllers:
  • "MAPS" for selecting the ignition timing (maps)
  • "OFFSET" for shifting the selected map by ± 2°
  • "LIM" to deactivate or set the speed limitation between 11,500 rpm and 14,300 rpm in 200 rpm increments (especially for 4-stroke engines)

You can choose from 8 pre-programmed ignition curve maps:
  • 2-stroke: 6 preset maps with dynamic ignition advance
  • 4-stroke: 1 preset map with dynamic ignition advance
  • General: 1 map with fixed ignition timing

In addition to first-class components, the entire basic design of the ignition has been improved so that the rotor and stator now work together even better on a mechanical and electronic level.

High-voltage coil:
  • Maximum discharge voltage > 40 KV for engine speeds >3000 rpm
  • Maximum peak open circuit voltage gap > 50KV
  • Ramp-up time at 10 bar > 1750 V/uS

Rotor-stator unit
  • Stator weight reduced by around 30% - 100 g in total
  • Monolithic magnetic circuit with high permeability
  • Optimized magnetic path
  • Reinforcement of the wound part with cable with higher insulation class and larger wire diameter
  • Improvement of the electrical performance by +20%
  • Reduction of the minimum starting speed from 450 rpm to 370 rpm
  • Miniaturized impermeable plug with protection class IP67, with retention fuse
  • Rotor Ø 58 with neodymium permanent magnets

As this is a pure racing ignition system, there is no electrical power supply for other consumers (lighting etc.) on the vehicle. High-end ignition for the race track only! An absolute must for all those who want to ride at the front and get the most out of their engine.
