Aramid-reinforced drive belt from Malossi. The aramid fiber insert prolongs the service life of the V-belt many times over. The bending tolerance is increased by this material and reduces the resulting losses in the force transmission.
However, with this belt, the use of a harder counter-pressure spring is almost absolutely necessary since the durability of the aramide liners increases noticeably but the belt tends to slip during start-up. This effect increases even more with tuned vehicles.
